Recently, my first granddaughter made her grand entrance into this world. She is the most beautiful little blessing! My heart suddenly grew two sizes when I first saw her precious tiny face. Each day as her parents send me new pictures of our little princess, I am reminded of how deep a love is between a parent and child…..in this case a grandparent and grandchild. As I reflect on the gift of my new granddaughter, I can’t help but relate my love for her to the love our Heavenly Father has for us; His daughters. 🤍

The Bible tells us that when we received Jesus, we became His child…..His sweet daughter. He loves us dearly, with a perfect love. If I can love Journi this much…..me, just a human and imperfect Maemee, then I can’t imagine how much God loves me….HIS daughter. I admit, I sometimes forget how much He loves me. I can often feel as if He may look at me and think, “Oh, Melaina….I wish you were more like…..” However, when I look at Journi, she is perfectly precious. She is enough! In Jesus, we are enough! God looks at us through the gift of Jesus and He sees redemption. He sees His little girl. He loves me! He loves you!

When we realize and accept how much we are loved by a Heavenly Father, it can truly be a game-changer. Romans 8:38-39 tells us that nothing in all this world will ever be able to separate us from God’s love. When we face each day with the assurance of His love we can smile more….laugh more….pray and praise more!

Find some time today to just sit with your Heavenly Father. Let Him remind you how much He loves you. You are precious to Him…..just as much as little Journi is precious to me.🤍
