As Daughters of Christ, we are in a daily battle. This battle is not for our souls as Christ has won that battle on the Cross and in Him we are a new creation. However, we are battling in the Spirit to stand firm and for other souls that need redemption.

Several years ago, I was very burdened for our then prodigal son and reached out to an older lady to pray with me. She pointed me to 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 and told me to pray this over our son everyday. She encouraged me to pray that every demonic stronghold will be torn down in our son’s mind and heart and that God would take every thought captive in his mind to be obedient to Christ.

At first this was not easy for me to do. However, the more I prayed over our son with this and other scriptures, my faith began to grow. God loved our son much more than we ever could. God had a plan for our son and praying “battle” prayers over my son was not only helpful but healing for me as I was reminded that in myself I was powerless however, I served a powerful and loving God!

No matter what battle you or a loved one is facing, remember, as Ephesians 6 tells us, suit up in the WHOLE armor of God and fight in the Spirit. Our God is mighty to save!💜
