If only my friends would encourage me more.

If only my husband would spend more time with me.

If only the preacher would preach more exciting sermons.

If only my kids would respect me.

Have you ever said or thought any of these statements? We sometimes feel the missing piece to our happiness puzzle is someone in our inner circle changing. However, what if, instead of wanting others to change, we focused on God changing us? As we present ourselves to Christ as living sacrifices, surrendering all we are and hope to be unto Him, He can take our hearts and lives and make something beautiful. When we are fulfilled by Christ, our focus is no longer on others changing, therefore we can have peace and joy no matter how others behave.

Lord, help us to surrender all to you. Help us to stay in Your Word and focus on You and being obedient to Your will. We surrender the urge to want to change others and ask You, Lord, to change us by Your love and Spirit. In Your Name! Amen💛
