WHO ARE YOU?
Often we answer that question with answers like these:
Mom. Wife. Teacher. Minister. Doctor. Addict. Divorcee. Writer. Cashier. Clerk. Daughter. Loner. Homemaker. Homeschool Teacher. Extrovert. Factory worker. College graduate. College drop-out.
WHO ARE YOU?
God is reminding me, once more, that my identity is NOT
in what I do. (or don’t do)
My identity is found in Christ and who HE says I am.
When we take this to heart, we can make a mistake and be ok. We can win awards and promotions and not get off track. We can have people mad at us and not collapse with despair. We can burn supper and not hate ourselves. We can lose 10 pounds and know we are much more than our weight. We can gain 10 pounds and not feel like a failure.
Our identity is found in JESUS CHRIST.
Let’s wake up every morning and look into the mirror and say:
I am the daughter of the Most High King….period. That’s who I am. He loves me and because of Jesus I am His child. I am redeemed. I am forgiven. I BELONG to HIM! My Father is God!
