“It’s not about me….It’s all about Jesus”. We hear that phrase alot.
I’ve said it many times before and even written it in a praise song. It’s truth!
However, do I live and love that way?
Am I more worried about what people think of me or more concerned in how I am glorifying Christ?
Do I let anything or anyone else other than Christ sit on the throne of my heart?
Will I demand my own way at home or get rude with my family when I feel slighted?
Will I fight for my preferences?
Do I long to be glorified or do I only long for Christ to be glorified in me?
There have been many times my behavior contradicted the truth that this life is all about Christ.
However, there is hope!
I can stop right in my tracks and ask the Lord to wash me with his forgiveness, love and grace. I can ask the Holy Spirit to line my thoughts up with God’s truth and help me remember that life IS all about HIM and cry out for HIS power to live that out. He will help me walk in His truth. He’s faithful.
I want to encourage you today that there is always hope in Jesus. We don’t have to walk around in fear and shame or hypocrisy….we can simply repent and receive His mercy and grace and keep moving closer and closer to Him. By His grace and strength we can glorify God in both word and deed.💛
