The Apostle Paul had a “thorn” in his flesh. Something that kept him humbled. Something that caused him to remain totally dependent upon the Lord. Something that He asked the Lord to take away.

Was God ignoring his plea? Did the Lord think it was too big of a request? The answer is no.

The Lord answered with the life-giving truth that not only is His grace sufficient, but His power is made perfect in our weakness.

What an answer! What a promise!

We don’t have to be strong. In fact, in our own power we can never be strong enough. However, in God’s power we can walk through anything He calls us to walk through. Not only that, but when we totally depend upon Him, we can trust that He will be glorified in our weakness.

We serve an amazing God. He loves us deeply and understands our weakness. He supplies the power and strength we need. He is faithful.
