I wanted to start today by thanking you for subscribing to my  “Cactus Flowers” blog posts! I know there are a million of posts you could subscribe to and I pray that you will find God’s encouragement and love here!

I also wanted to tell you a little bit about why I named my blog Cactus Flowers.

The Lord put the phrase “Cactus Flowers” on my heart several years ago as I was praying about starting a women’s ministry.  The thought came to me that cacti have some of the most beautiful flowers I’ve ever seen.  Often the most beautiful flowers come from cacti with really sharp thorns. I could see the parallel of my life and the flowers of a cactus.

There are many painful things that I have walked through in my life like the sharp thorns.   However, as I turned to God and surrendered to His leadership, He made something beautiful from things that once brought pain….like the flowers of a cactus.  He can do that for you too💛
