No doubt about it, Mother’s Day stirs up feelings in our hearts.

For some, your Mother is in Heaven. You may can imagine her spending this day with Jesus, but you so wish you could hug her once again. For some, there may be an ache in your heart because you have never even met your Mother and you wonder if she ever thinks of you.

Some may reflect on your Mother and how much she has been there for you…..or how much she not been there for you. Some may think of your children who made you a Mom in the first place….the ones that talk to you everyday, the ones you never hear from or maybe the ones that are waiting for you in Heaven.

Some may be reminded, again, of the fact that you are not yet a Mom but long so much to be one. For some hearts, Mother’s Day can awaken the ache that you are past the time to become a Mom and will never be one of your own children. No doubt “Mother’s Day” stirs up memories and feelings….some good and some bad.

Regardless of how Mother’s Day affects you, remember you were a daughter first and will ALWAYS be a daughter.

You are not only a daughter of your earthly parents, but of a loving and caring Heavenly Father. His love for you is perfect and planned. He understands your pain and understands your intense love for your children. He is calling out to you today to receive all He has for you. He not only wants you to receive His Son and what His Son did for you on the Cross, He wants you to continue to walk closely with Him day by day. He wants you to run to Him when the pain is so intense you can’t breathe. He wants you to run to Him when you are so joyful you can’t stop smiling. He wants you, just the way you are, to be close to Him.

So whether this is a great day or a sad day, remember God loves you and there is HOPE in Him. When we base our hope on anything else, we will eventually crumble. However, when we are secure on the solid Rock, we are truly secure indeed.

Tomorrow, Mother’s Day 2022 will be gone. Life will move on. However, our God will still be here and we will forever be HIS daughter.
