Do you ever find yourself asking God for wisdom and if He doesn’t answer quickly, you begin looking elsewhere?

Have you ever been burdened and need direction but find it hard to wait on God’s Word? You don’t hear an answer, so while you are waiting, maybe you should ask a friend’s opinion? You feel like you don’t have time to wait on His direction so you start analyzing your problem with some “wisdom” of your own?

I am not saying it’s wrong to seek wise counsel or to think things through, however, if we do those things in place of waiting for God, I feel we put ourselves in a dangerous place.

God loves us. He knows everything about us; our needs, our fears, our concerns. When we go to Him for direction, we can trust that He will give it. Sometimes He has us wait. Waiting time is not wasted time. He is growing us and preparing us.

If you are in a time of waiting, I want to encourage you to stay in His Word, take time to listen and wait upon Him! He is worth the wait.💙
